COVID-19 on Kauai

I really wanted to start off my blog about myself and topics that my blog was intended to share. However, at this point in time with the growing worries and fears of this pandemic, i thought i'd like to write a little about this situation on this small little island. Just today at 11 A.M., the Kauai Police Department started check points at various locations throughout the island. These checkpoints are to ensure that people are complying with the Governor/Mayor's stay-at-home order.  For one, i think this is really stupid. There are SO MUCH exemptions to this that, anyone can just say "i'm going to the grocery store" or "i'm on my way home from work" and not have any proof of it. I think this is a waste of tax dollars and resources. So many non-essential stores and businesses are now closed due to the order. Welcome to my blog! My name is Brittney. I live on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while, and coincidentally, now had to be the time to do it!  For future references, at this moment in time, we are currently going through a global crisis and panic of the Corona Virus (COVID-19).  Anyways, i wanted to start this blog mainly for my personal purpose, but also to share with everyone my single-mommy island lifestyle! Here i will share stories, rants and raves, reviews, and tips about almost any random thing i can think of!
